Privacy Policy

This website (goodnews24.gr) is operated by the Good News 24editorial team ("we", "us"). We respect your privacy and handle your personal data lawfully under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek law 4624/2019.

1. Data we collect

• Technical data: IP address, user-agent, referrer and pages visited, collected automatically via server logs.
• Analytics: aggregated, pseudonymised metrics via Google Analytics (only after consent).
• Advertising: identifiers used by Google AdSense to serve personalised ads (only after consent).
• Cookies: a consent cookie storing your choice, plus any cookies set by the third parties above.

2. Legal basis

We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for analytics and advertising cookies, on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security logging, and on legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) when required by law.

3. Sharing & recipients

We share data only with the processors strictly required to operate the site: hosting providers, Google LLC (Analytics & AdSense), and security/CDN services. We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Some processors are based outside the EEA. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Retention

Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Consent records are kept for 12 months.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
